Valorisation by composting of sawdust for agronomic use in the commune of (Marcory), Abidjan, Ivory Coast

The environmental challenges in the context of climate change require design a sustainable organic agriculture. To achieve such challenge, use fertilizers is highly recommended. Among these fertilizers, compost paramount importance as it widely recommended and used agricultural world. However, quality depends on matter used. search for several sources necessary order to offer choices producers, depending source available. With this mind, study sawdust from carpentry by composting was conducted south Côte d'Ivoire, commune Marcory, with view its agronomic purposes. In 2 x 1.5 1 m pit, 50 kg fresh 20 chicken litter were composted over period 5 months. mature obtained decomposed form (detritus), black color, oily, free pathogenic micro-organisms appreciable contents expressed g/kg assimilable mineral elements as: N(28.8) K(19.2) Ca(04.5) P(03.1) Mg(01.5).
